CENTER FOR POSTNATURAL HISTORY

Part 3

"Post natural" can be better understood if we look beyond the organism itself. At a natural history museum a habitat is described in terms of ecology or climate. However, a postnatural habitat is defined by policy, politics, international borders, sometimes state borders or even by the walls of a building. Pell displays several of these humanly determined habitats, like for instance the Dugway Proving Ground in Utah, that are reshaping the landscape of the planet.
