What does Digital Culture actually stand for? In this video Olia clarifies the term and she also explains the importance of recovering the initial meaning of the word "user", when referring to computer and software users. In the early stages of the amateur digital culture to be a user implied an understanding of the device that the person was interacting with. But nowadays there seems to be a rejection of the term as well as a new understanding of the relationship between a person and a computer, based on a passive role of the individual.
