Aram Bartholl always was interested in the correlation of space and internet. Nowadays the Internet has become so important and everybody is aware of its impact. In his installation "Mark" he works with the red marker of google maps transforming it into a real object. It is an icon on the screen, but on the same time it is a speech bubble with a real shadow. "Transferred to physical space the map marker questions the relation of the digital information space to every day life public city space. The perception of the city is increasingly influenced by geolocation services."
