DEAD DROPS

A workshop with Aram Bartholl & Dead Drop install action in Barcelona

When: Friday Nov. 8 - 3pm
Meeting point: Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (Hall)
Entrance: 0 €¥$
Participation: welcome!
Requirements: none, but feel free to bring a USB stick

A dead drop or dead letter box is a method of espionage tradecraft used to pass items between two individuals using a secret location and thus does not require them to meet directly.

‘Dead Drops’ is an anonymous, offline, peer to peer file-sharing network in public space. USB flash drives are embedded into walls, buildings and curbs accessible to anybody in public space. Everyone is invited to drop or find files on a dead drop.

Plug your laptop to a wall, house or pole to share your favorite files and data.

Let's make our own ‘Dead Drop’ network!

Come over on Nov. 8 at 3pm to install yours
Share the content of your USB via Twitter #deaddrops #influ2013 or via Facebook (you can share it with The.influencers.festival)
